Friday 4 November

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa
Bonjour à toutes nos familles

Gumboot Friday is today!

Here is Frankie in her gumboots on the way to school! It’s so great to see so many children wearing gumboots helping raise money for free counselling for young people. Ka pai, Ridgway School.

Ridgway’s Got Talent

This year, we are holding this at school on Tuesday 13 December. Time to be confirmed.  This is the chance for your child to perform a special talent or act in front of the whole school. They can do it in groups or by themselves. There will be auditions during the week of 28 November.

Reporting and assessment

Every child has a Spotlight digital portfolio which parents access through our @school parent portal or our @school parent app and this is our main way of reporting on progress and achievement. Throughout the year teachers and students add photos of work or links to work completed in a digital format, along with comments that explain how the piece of work shows where the student is at in their learning. We encourage parents to also make comments on their children's posts to acknowledge the effort and progress they are making.

Parents are encouraged to access the @school Parent Portal or the @school parent app on their phone to view their child's assessment and achievement results. If you have questions about these results contact your child's teacher. If you can't access the portal contact our office staff to get a username and password.

You will be able to read your child’s end of year achievement summary via the @school Parent Portal or the @school parent app at the end of the term.

Onesie Day fundraising

We raised over $200 for the Wellington Free Ambulance at our Onesie Day.  Thank you all so much for your support!

Welcome to our new students who have started this term

We welcome Santi, Moritz and their whānau, as well as Alena who joins her older brother at school. Nau mai, haere mai.
